Shimano Sephia Koro-koro Sutte

SHIMANO’s Sephia Koro Koro Sutte is a cylindrical, standard-model metal squid jig that is easy to use as a pilot jig when targeting squid with a metal jig. Its slightly shortened, compact body has a smaller profile than the same-size Nori Nori Sutte. This makes it well suited to situations when squid are less active or more wary, as well as when targeting smaller squid. Its light pull resistance also allows it to respond quickly to rod movements such as sharp jigging actions. The head features a realistic eye, while the sharp, large kan-na hooks support solid hooksets.

Designed to pivot easily around its center of gravity, it moves crisply in response to rod actions and quickly falls while flashing its sides. Its compact profile is less affected by the current, making it easier to reach the strike zone and well suited to efficiently searching a wide range of depths. Lighter sizes are ideal for shallow water and weaker currents, while heavier sizes handle fast currents, deep water, and daytime bottom fishing. The lineup ranges from size 10 to 45; sizes 30 and above feature center balance for improved pivoting action and reinforced kan-na hook shafts. Tie it on as the first lure of a metal rig to assess the conditions, or pair it with another sute above it in a dropper-style rig.
