GAN CRAFT’s Jointed Claw Salt Custom 128 is designed to bring the Jointed Claw’s S-shaped action to saltwater fishing. In addition to colors inspired by marine baitfish, the hooks and weight balance have been adjusted for saltwater use. Its floating configuration is suited to drift fishing and presentations just below the surface.

The 128 mm jointed body responds to current and retrieve input, while its lipless design produces a smooth S-shaped path from the start of the retrieve. Simply reeling at a steady speed creates an action that slides from side to side, while retrieve speed and rod manipulation can be used to vary the width and posture of the swimming action. Taking advantage of the joint’s ability to follow the movement of the body, it is also well suited to natural drifts in current while maintaining line tension.

The basic approach is a steady retrieve, allowing the lure to pass through changes in current, light and dark areas, and along the shoreline. Its floating configuration also supports presentations such as enticing fish near the surface after the lure lands or drifting it just below the surface while letting it ride the current. The 128 mm size is easy to handle with a medium-class rod, making it easy to incorporate into saltwater lure fishing targeting sea bass from either shore or a boat. The standard hooks are configured for saltwater use.
