OLYMPIC’s 23 CORTO is a rod series designed to deliver the light weight and sensitivity emphasized in modern ajing, while accommodating delicate rig manipulation. It features OLYMPIC’s original OP-01 carbon reel seat, a front-gripless design that makes it easy to contact the blank, and a rear grip kept to the necessary minimum, achieving a balance of reduced weight and operability.

The blank is made of high-modulus carbon, creating a slim, crisp action. Lightweight graphite cloth is wrapped diagonally around the butt section to increase strength against twisting. The guides are lightweight titanium-frame SiC-S ring guides, while the joints use slip-over ferrules (reverse spigot joints), producing a bending curve with minimal interruption from the joints. The 23GCORS-622UL-HS has a fast action designed with the load sensitivity and operability required for ami-pattern fishing from the tip through the midsection, while also balancing transmitted sensitivity. Its hard solid tip provides the crispness of an ultra-tip action, making it suitable for manipulating lightweight rigs and detecting subtle bites. With a total length of 1.88 m, a two-piece construction, a maximum lure rating of 2 g, a maximum line rating of 2 lb, and a weight of 53 g, it offers a versatile length for ajing across different seasons and areas.
