Jackall Anchovy Tachi-uo Hook

JACKALL’s ANCHOVY TACHIUO HOOK is a four-hook design developed to improve hook-up rates when jigging for cutlassfish. The eye is welded at an unconventional 45-degree angle, creating a structure that allows the hook points to face in multiple directions when attached to a metal jig. Even when cutlassfish attack from below, the design makes it easier to convert bites into solid hooksets by taking advantage of all four hook points.

Featuring straight points, a barbless design, and fine-wire construction, these hooks prioritize quick, easy penetration for immediate hooksets. A fluorocarbon coating is applied to the surface to support smooth penetration into the cutlassfish’s hard jaw. Despite the fine-wire construction, the hooks are flattened for increased durability and are designed specifically for cutlassfish jigging. They can be attached as either front or rear hooks on a metal jig, with four sizes—SS, S, M, and L—available to match the jig’s size and weight. The barbless design also considers safety around cutlassfish teeth and ease of handling when replacing hooks.
