TENRYU’s HORIZON Progressive is a slow-pitch heavy model designed with an emphasis on jig control in deeper water. Based on the HSL66B-H, the HPG66B-H features a blank refined for increased sharpness and stiffness, making it easier to move the jig even in deep areas where it can be difficult to maintain a clear sense of how the jig is working. The use of C.N.T. also provides added confidence when the rod is deeply loaded.
This 1.98 m, one-piece baitcasting rod features a regular taper. Designed for use with jigs around 250 g, it has an optimal lure weight of 250 g, a maximum lure weight of 300 g, a maximum line rating of 35 lb, and a maximum drag rating of 5.5 kg. It is suited to situations where you want to build a slow-pitch presentation while maintaining a clear sense of jig control in deep water. It also features the series’ standard equipment, including baitcasting-style K guides and a TCS reel seat.
