Abu Garcia’s SaltyStyle Aji series is designed for easy handling when shore fishing for horse mackerel, with an emphasis on light weight and sensitivity. The rods feature solid tips that make it easier to detect the action of lightweight jig heads, while the regular-fast action allows anglers to feel the weight of the jig head during retrieves and makes it easier to turn bites into solid hooksets. The top guide uses a Fuji SiC ring, while the remaining guides feature Alconite rings. The rods are equipped with a guide layout based on the Fuji KR Guide Concept and a Fuji IPS reel seat. In addition, X Carbon Tape Wrapping, which reinforces the blank with carbon tape applied in an X pattern from 45- and 135-degree directions, enhances blank torque and suppresses twisting.

The SYAS-432ULS is an ultra-short 4-foot 3-inch model suited to fishing small areas and pinpoint targets within harbors, as well as boat fishing where long casts are not required. The 5-foot 3-inch SYAS-532ULS is ideal for working close-range areas around night-lit spots and structure. The SYAS-632ULS is a core model featuring 6-foot 3-inch length and UL power, offering versatile performance from lightweight jig heads to deep or fast-flowing areas. The SYAS-6102LS is the longest model in the series at 6 feet 10 inches and features L power. It handles longer casts with slightly heavier jig-only rigs and float rigs, and is also well suited to lift-and-fall presentations near the bottom and fishing from high banks or other elevated positions.
