Abu Garcia Salty Stage KR-X Prototype

Abu Garcia’s SaltyStage KR-X Prototype SEABASS is a sea bass rod designed to pursue improved strength, reduced weight, and enhanced sensitivity through the TAF (Triarchy Force) manufacturing process, which revisits the materials, design, and production methods. Its CPC blank uses 100% Japanese-made carbon prepreg and incorporates a DPH ultra-thin, double-density ply structure and an NS natural straight taper. Combined with Fuji SiC rings and the Fuji KR guide concept, the rod is configured with model-specific lengths, tapers, and lure weights.

The baitcasting model XSBC-972ML is designed for long-distance casting, taking advantage of its 9-foot 7-inch length, while its regular-fast taper makes it easy to cast lures with the distinctive casting form of a baitcasting setup. Its lightweight, well-balanced design helps anglers continue casting while wading on tidal flats and in estuaries, while also making it easier to detect changes in current flow. Although rated as a medium-light action, it is built with power in the butt section, making it less likely to surrender control to large trophy sea bass over 80 cm. It handles lures from 5 to 35 g and is particularly well suited to minnow plugs around 12 cm, making it a versatile model for using a wide range of lures in estuaries, tidal flats, and similar environments. The baitcasting model features an original reel seat with a blank-touch design.
