GAEA’s AREA 10 is a 100 mm, 9 g lipless floating minnow designed to target the range just below the surface, where sea bass readily feed on baitfish. With its maximum diving depth limited to 50 cm, it is ideal for targeting shallow areas that have traditionally been difficult to keep at a consistent depth, including shallow tidal flats, surf zones, river mouths, and rocky shores.
The slim body reduces air resistance, while the combination with an internal weight-transfer system provides excellent casting distance despite its 10 cm class size. Although it has no lip, it can be worked at speeds ranging from a fast retrieve down to an ultra-slow retrieve that creates a wake, allowing you to trace a consistent depth for extended periods. In addition to varying the retrieve speed to search for reactions just beneath the surface, it is also well suited to being allowed to drift with the current. The body features a wire-through construction, with a design intended for fighting sea bass.
