ATEC’s AJIST SD is designed around the lightweight performance required of an ajing rod. The blank, solid tip, and grip construction have been reworked to pursue further weight reduction. Compared with previous models of the same length, the weight has been reduced by up to 39%, while the blank uses 40T carbon sheets. The reel seat has been kept to the minimum necessary, and the remaining grip section combines a carbon pipe with EVA in an advanced grip design intended to reduce the feeling of tip heaviness. Fuji SiC rings are used on the guides from the tip through to the butt, helping to minimize friction against the line.

The “/SL” models feature a 30T carbon hard solid tip designed to make it easier to detect subtle ajing bites and follow changes in load. The S55/SL is a short model measuring 5 feet 5 inches and weighing 38g, suited to close-range fishing around night lights and from locations with nearby footing. The S510/SL measures 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 40g, prioritizing a balance between light-rig control and versatility. The S63/SL measures 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 44g, offering a standard length that readily balances casting distance and controllability. All models feature an extra-fast action, with maximum lure weights of 3–5g depending on the model, and are rated for 1–3lb line and PE 0.1–0.4. This lineup allows anglers to choose according to the intended application, fishing location, and required casting distance.
