Atec (tailwalk)’s SaltyShape DASH is an offshore jigging rod designed around a highly resilient, slim, and lightweight blank required for slow-pitch jerking, with a focus on improved jig control and sensitivity to information transmitted from underwater. The series is designed for use with baitcasting reels, with the compatible jig weight and drag setting specified for each model.
The SPJ series features a slow action that makes it easy to control the jig with slow-pitch jerking. K-series double-foot guides are used for a configuration that helps reduce line tangles. Lightweight single-foot guides are used on the tip section, while the reel seat is equipped with a T-DPS that securely accommodates large baitcasting reels. Models with Grip Type A feature a 6 ft 3 in, one-piece construction, with an overall grip length of 545 mm and a rear grip length of 400 mm.
The SPJ 633 weighs 115 g, with a maximum compatible jig weight of 350 g in the SPJ category and a maximum drag setting of 2 kg. Across the SPJ 630–639 models, jig weights and drag settings are assigned in graduated ranges, offering models for everything from lightweight jigs to heavier jigs.
