Hayabusa Jack Eye Furifuri Shad

Hayabusa’s Jack Eye Furifuri Shad is a lip-head soft lure designed to attract fish over a wide area with a jig head equipped with a large lip and a shad-tail worm. The large, water-gripping tail produces a side-to-side “furifuri” action, while the lip head adds its own rolling action to create a complex movement even on a steady retrieve. The relatively heavy weight settings and lift generated by the lip make it easier to maintain the desired depth at medium to slow speeds. On the bottom, the head stands upright, helping the lure adopt a snag-resistant posture.

The line eye features a 2-way configuration with front and rear positions. The front eye is suited to retrieves at normal speed, while the rear eye is designed for slow retrieves. The basic technique is simply to cast and retrieve, with stop-and-go or lift-and-fall actions added as conditions require. To rig the worm, insert the head’s needle into the dedicated hole and set the treble hook into the worm. Slits are also incorporated to make it easier for fish to take the lure into their mouths. Available weights are 20 g, 30 g, and 40 g, and a 4-inch replacement worm is included.
