Yamaria Duck Dive

YAMARIA’s Duck Dive is a floating plug developed to target yellowtail kingfish that are unresponsive to diving pencils, as well as situations where fish are reluctant to chase and difficult to bring to a bite, by offering a slim popper option. The cup, characteristic of poppers, creates a bubbling sound that announces the lure’s presence over a wide area, while its resistance can be used to control the distance traveled with each action. Short jerks minimize forward movement, making it easier to keep the lure in a specific spot and produce a presentation that stays within the feeding zone in weak currents or during periods of low activity.

Inside, it features a magnetic weight-transfer system using a large weight. During the cast, the weight shifts rearward to maximize casting distance in combination with the slim body, while during retrieval the center of gravity moves toward the middle to maintain a nearly horizontal floating posture. Changes in posture during the action are minimized, and the cup’s resistance suppresses unnecessary sliding after each action. It handles everything from slow popping that combines bubbling sounds with short-distance movement to long strokes. The F190 measures 190 mm and weighs 60 g, with recommended equipment consisting of size #2/0–#3/0 heavy-wire treble hooks or 4–7 g single hooks, and Maria Fighters Ring Daen #7. The F230 measures 230 mm and weighs 95 g, with recommended equipment consisting of size #4/0–#5/0 heavy-wire treble hooks or 8–11 g single hooks, and the same ring in size #9.
