YAMASHITA’s EGI-OH TR is designed for tip-run fishing, where the angler stops the squid jig immediately after the retrieve and waits for a bite. It pursues a stable swimming posture that does not wander during the pause. Its full-body stabilization structure combines the fins, sinker, body, and large hook to suppress slaloming and wobbling when stopped. The cross-shaped Hydrofin TR controls vertical and lateral wobble, while the Hydro Sinker, which functions like a rudder, and the Hydro Body, which projects sharply outward to the sides, support a stable swimming posture. The large rear hook not only helps stabilize the jig through a parachute effect but also features a shape that makes it easier to catch squid tentacles. The sinker is made of tin to reduce environmental impact, while the fins feature 490 Glow for improved visibility in deep water with low light levels or slightly murky conditions.

The lineup includes size 3 and size 3.5, weighing 21 g and 27 g, respectively. Their sink rates are approximately 1.5 seconds per meter for size 3 and 1.2 seconds per meter for size 3.5. After imparting action with the rod, the jig stabilizes its posture, allowing anglers to wait for a bite while watching for changes in the line. The separately sold EGI-OH TR SINKER is a mask sinker that attaches to the jig to add weight, with sizes ranging from 7 to 60 g. Its two slots make it easy to attach not only to tip-run jigs but also to standard squid jigs. As a basic guideline, select a weight of 1 g per meter of water depth, then choose the weight that produces a line angle of 45 degrees.
