Megabass Kagero

Megabass KAGELOU is a shallow-running minnow designed to entice sea bass to bite in highly pressured shallow-water areas. Its large, sharply cut darter cup strongly displaces water, producing a subtle, natural rolling action on slow to medium retrieves. When the retrieve speed is increased from medium to fast, it transitions to a rolling action accompanied by a sliding motion, offering a variable action. Despite its lipless design, it catches the current to communicate the lure’s presence, while its action is designed to entice nearby fish without moving excessively aggressively.

The weight system features LBO II (PAT.), which improves weight-transfer efficiency and lowers the center of gravity through a shaftless design. During the cast, the weight unit disengages from the magnetic field and generates propulsive force through inertia. After splashdown, the weight is guided and secured by the forward neodymium magnetic field, allowing the lure to begin its action quickly as soon as the retrieve starts. The 100F measures 100 mm, weighs 12 g, is floating, and has a diving depth of 20–60 cm, making it suitable for situations involving small baitfish. The 124F measures 124 mm, weighs 22 g, is floating, and has a diving depth of 0–20 cm, allowing anglers to target a range closer to the surface. The basic technique is a steady retrieve, with the darter cup catching seams and changes in the current to generate the lure’s action. The standard hooks are #5 × 2 for the 100F and #4 × 3 for the 124F.
