Megabass TACO-LE

Megabass TACO-LE is a rubber jig designed for octopus fishing. It is built to reduce snags while dragging along the bottom and to provide secure hook-holding power after an octopus is hooked. By adjusting the buoyancy of the head and tail, it maintains a posture that helps keep the hook clear of the bottom while retrieving along the substrate. The shrimp-escaping-style tail bumper helps prevent the sinker from entering rocks and crevices while transmitting changes in the bottom composition and terrain to the angler’s hand.

The hook system is equipped with a Twin Hold Hook System combining two large, heavy-wire barbless hooks with four smaller barbless hooks. Designed for situations involving heavy loads, its ultra-thick glass-fiber shaft construction helps prevent the hooks from bending or breaking. The underside of the body features a skirt that moves naturally in the current, while “Omakase Eyes” positioned at the tips of the skirt arms and on the belly allow the addition of blades, tinsel, and other accessories. A Φ4.5 mm × 37 mm glow-stick holder is positioned on top, enabling added attraction with a glow stick. Bait can be placed on the flat head and secured with a rubber band, allowing it to be used as a floating tenya. The TACO-LE80 measures 80 mm and weighs 40 g including the sinker, while the TACO-LE99 measures 99 mm and weighs 70 g including the sinker. The 80 is suited to probing shallow water and confined areas, while the 99 is better suited to deeper water and covering larger areas.
