Mangrove Studio Naburan 150

Mangrove Studio’s Nabrun 150 is an offshore pencil designed for directly targeting anchovy bait balls formed by pelagic fish such as yellowtail amberjack, Japanese amberjack, and tuna with a floating presentation. Its 150 mm, 40 g body features a sharp-edged, flat head. When worked with a stop-and-go retrieve, it dives and then rises with an irregular posture, while responding sharply to continuous twitches.

The flattened, oval-shaped tail is designed to improve body strength and stabilize casting distance by maintaining an optimal center of gravity, producing a sliding action while creating a trail of bubbles. When targeting bait balls, anglers can vary the retrieve according to conditions, using techniques such as stop-and-go retrieves and continuous twitches. It comes standard with #8 stainless steel split rings, while a 1.6 mm welded stainless steel wire runs through the body internally. A recommended hook setup is a size 2/0 ST-66 or Treble 16-class treble hook, with an approximate total weight of around 50 g when fitted with hooks. The manufacturer’s recommended tackle is a 7–8.3 ft rod, PE 2–6 line, and 40–140 lb-class leader.
