ECOGEAR’s KIJIHATA HOG combines a voluminous body and arms inspired by crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs. Although it is a hog-style soft lure, it is designed to offer both easy handling during casting and a solid feel when worked underwater. The uniquely shaped arms allow air to escape appropriately, reducing resistance during casting and minimizing the handling difficulty suggested by its bulky silhouette. Underwater, the lure is designed to help reduce pulling resistance and the effects of current, making it easy to work while sensing changes in the bottom.

During bottom-bumping retrieves, the arms flap actively to create vibration. They also flutter during swimming retrieves, appealing to grouper-type targets that feed on crustaceans. The primary techniques are bottom bumping, in which the lure is hopped with rod movements after reaching the bottom, and swimming it through a consistent depth. It is compatible with both Texas rigs and jighead rigs, allowing you to choose the rig according to conditions and the target depth. It measures 3 inches (74 mm) and uses regular material.
