MARS R-32 is a straight worm developed for short-range seabass fishing, designed to create a natural presence in high-pressure waters. Ribs along the body generate water flow, while the triangular-section pintail at the tip moves subtly to produce vibrations reminiscent of baitfish. During the retrieve, it exhibits a natural rolling action, attracting fish with a restrained movement that does not push too much water.
It is primarily rigged on a jig head and fished with a straight retrieve, but it can also be used for tekutoro-style bank fishing to search the area at your feet, or for vertical presentations inspired by shore jigging, working the lure up and down along seawalls. From steadily retrieving it through a consistent depth to incorporating pauses with a fall, its approach can be adapted to suit the conditions. Powerhead and Shizuk Head jig heads in various sizes are recommended, as they make it easy to take advantage of the R-32’s shape and swimming posture.
