Breaden Metalmaru

BREADEN’s Metalmaru is a saltwater lure developed with a focus on the hook-setting performance of spin-tail jigs, pursuing a balance of covering water, attracting fish, catching fish, and achieving solid hook-ups. A Colorado blade and double hook are combined at the rear of the body, helping guide strikes on the blade toward the hook. Designed with the poor hook-up rates and fish loss often associated with spin-tail jigs in mind, it is primarily suited to retrieve-based fishing and can also be cast long distances to search a wide area.

The lineup includes the Metalmaru 13, 19, 28, 40, and 60. The 13g and 19g models measure 55mm, the 28g model measures 70mm, the 40g model measures 73mm, and the 60g model measures 75mm. The lightweight models are suited to light-game fishing and techniques targeting small baitfish, while models from 28g and up are useful when longer casts are needed or when fishing deeper water columns. Standard models feature a treble hook at the front and a double hook at the rear for the 13g and 19g sizes, while the 28g and 40g models are fitted with hooks in the corresponding sizes. Single-hook models, which are less likely to snag on structure, are also available, and standard models can be converted to a single-hook configuration using the SINGLE HOOK SH01. With sizes from 13g to 60g, this spin-tail lure can be selected according to the target depth and casting distance required.
