BREADEN’s METALEGI is an egi-style metal jig developed to target deep water that is difficult to reach with the direct-rigged Egi-Maru DEEP models, using a compact, heavy body. It is designed for both vertical and casting applications, allowing anglers to quickly reach deep ranges and search a wide area.
The body is compact yet heavy, making it easy to sink smoothly into deep water. Unlike lead sutte and metal jigs that produce unnatural falls, such as an erratic flashing fall, it is designed with the concept of eliminating elements that squid dislike, and can also be used for presentations that do not rely on specific actions or falls. In addition to Japanese flying squid, it can be used to target other squid species, such as swordtip squid.
In addition to vertical fishing by dropping it directly beneath the boat, METALEGI is suited to casting and searching a wide area, allowing anglers to pick up scattered fish during periods of low activity. It can be used alongside the dynamic presentations of directly rigged Egi-Maru DEEP models and the softer presentations of a slow-sinking egi paired with a mid-weight sinker, as well as for searching a wide area with METALEGI. The lineup includes 31 g and 43 g models, allowing anglers to select the appropriate weight according to depth, current strength, and the target range.
