Valleyhill’s Aji-tate is a straight worm that uses its delta-shaped body and multiple ribs to catch the current, producing subtle vibrations while its tail sways. Designed for vertical ajing, it features a soft material and center slits on both the top and bottom, creating a structure designed to improve hook penetration when fish deliver short bites.
The triangular body cross-section allows for slight-sliding presentations when rigged with the flat side facing down, while rigging it in the opposite direction provides greater stability. Changing the top and bottom orientation also alters the amount of resistance felt during the fall. In addition to generating subtle vibrations in the current, the multiple ribs increase the body’s surface area to help make it easier for fish to inhale. When using a jig head, the slits on the top and bottom of the body make it easy to align the hook point exit position, allowing the body orientation and falling posture to be adjusted according to the conditions.
