Valleyhill Dragon Q

Valleyhill’s Dragon Q is a metal jig series designed for varying presentations according to conditions when jigging for cutlassfish. Metal Slim features a front-weighted design that responds well to rod action. With low-response jerks and reduced input, it produces a smooth dog-walking action. When worked with a fast-action rod, its front-weighted design generates a sliding action and a long hang time on the fall, making it suitable for enticing inactive cutlassfish with regular, restrained jerks. The 130 g model measures 129 mm in length, while the 165 g model measures 138 mm.

Metal Flat is designed for fast-paced searching with short one-pitch or half-pitch jerks. On the fall, it produces an irregular sliding action, while during the jerk, it kicks back with limited forward travel. Its flat profile creates flash to appeal to cutlassfish over a wide area. Despite its symmetrical body, it is also characterized by occasional irregular movements. The 130 g model measures 115 mm in length, while the 165 g model measures 130 mm. Based on their differences in handling and action, Slim is suited to presentations that emphasize responsiveness and the fall, while Flat is suited to presentations that take advantage of flash and limited forward travel.
