Halcyon System Halshico

HALCYON SYSTEM’s halshico is a sinking pencil designed through extensive research into live Japanese anchovies, pursuing a realistic body shape and natural swimming action. Built with a high-strength construction for targeting large offshore fish, it was developed as an ultra-rigid model capable of handling fish over 100 kg, including mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, and bluefin tuna.

The 130 mm model features a reinforced ABS resin body with an integrated 1.6 mm SUS hardened through-wire. The 40 g LC has a rear-weighted design that helps maintain a stable flight姿勢 for long-distance casting. After landing, it is well suited to producing an action that taps and splashes across the surface, making it ideal for targeting surface-oriented feeding frenzies. The 60 g N features a horizontal fall enabled by its center-balanced design. It can be allowed to flutter down after landing and is suited to being cast directly into a bait-ball feeding frenzy.

The 105 mm model is downsized to a swallowable profile while retaining halshico’s strength. The 25 g N is a center-balanced all-round model that emphasizes the balance between casting distance and swimming action. The 35 g N is a heavy-weight model designed for situations when tuna are feeding on small baitfish. The 35 g R1 has a slightly rear-weighted balance, making it well suited to skipping by taking advantage of its stable flight姿勢 and long-casting performance. By selecting the appropriate weight balance for each model, anglers can choose natural swimming, falling, or surface operation according to the situation.
