Halcyon System Onnahada

HALCYON SYSTEM’s Onnahada is a sinking pencil that combines the flash generated by its shad-shaped body with an action designed to intentionally trigger reaction bites through angler input. Its flattened body swims crisply even on a slow retrieve, drawing in fish that follow at a constant distance before transitioning, with a light jerk, into a spinning action as it quickly turns on its side. Adding a fall immediately after the spin creates the moment when following fish switch to feeding. A key feature is its ability to produce irregular action through the angler’s manipulation, without relying on changes in current or contact with cover.

Onnahada No Rouge is designed around a combination of slow retrieves, light jerks, and pauses on the fall, making it suitable for situations where you want to trigger a reaction at a targeted spot. Make3 is intended for shallow-water fishing from just below the surface down to 50 cm, with a setting that produces a sharp swimming action even at slow speeds. Make7 is designed for targeting midwater to bottom ranges deeper than 50 cm; although it belongs to the same Onnahada family, its operating depth is different. Start by checking its swimming action with a straight retrieve, then combine jerks and falls when fish follow without taking the lure or when you want to add a change at the target depth.
