VARIVAS Avani Ikametal Max Power PE X9 is a 9-strand PE line designed to combine the sensitivity needed to detect subtle bites during ikametal squid fishing with ease of handling. Its X9 construction, produced using the CORE-INPUT manufacturing process, provides a moderate degree of stiffness to reduce flattening while enhancing durability. In addition, the Vertical Blade braiding process delivers exceptional linearity and ultra-low stretch in the 3% range. The line is less likely to sag underwater, making it easier to transmit delicate squid bites. Its reduced susceptibility to current also helps anglers keep track of the rig’s position and depth.

The line surface is treated with SP-TⅡ coating, which uses a resin film to enhance durability and reduce water absorption. It also handles line-loading presentations such as lift-and-fall techniques, while its moderate stiffness helps reduce problems such as tangling around the rod tip. The marking model features five highly visible fluorescent colors arranged in 10-meter sections for easy nighttime visibility, with additional 5 cm-wide black markings placed at 1-meter intervals. This allows anglers to operate while checking the water depth and rig position. For situations with many sharp-toothed fish, an unmarked, single-color dark green version is also available. Due to the characteristics of low-stretch PE line, attention should be paid to drag settings and overall tackle balance during use.
