VARIVAS Ocean Record Shock Leader is an offshore nylon shock leader developed under the supervision of Seiichiro Tashiro, a leading authority in amberjack casting games. Designed to support anglers taking on record-breaking challenges with superior strength, it was developed through a field-oriented process from planning and testing to final production. Intended for use in everything from casting games to jigging, it offers a balance of strength and ease of use, with careful consideration given to system setup, smooth passage through the guides during casting, and minimal interference with lure action.

The nylon construction provides a well-balanced combination of suppleness, strength, and handling ease. The protective film created by the non-fluorinated SP-V coating helps reduce deterioration caused by water absorption, contributing to improved abrasion resistance and casting distance. In addition, parallel winding prevents line flattening and maintains a round cross-section, allowing the line to deliver its inherent strength and linearity. It is tuned for easy knot tying and smooth passage through the guides during casting, while its design helps avoid impeding lure movement. Available in a Misty Purple color, with 50 m and 30 m spool options.
