Berkley Ajident

Berkley’s Ajident is designed to enhance the feedback transmitted through the jig head, making it easier to determine the rig’s condition even when using lightweight weights. The “dent” (recess) in the head and the eye angled approximately 20 degrees inward cause the entire jig head to tilt when tension is applied to the line, creating a structure that makes it easier for the worm to catch water resistance. As a result, anglers can feel the retrieve resistance more readily even with lighter weights, helping improve the handling of lightweight rigs and the detection of subtle bites.

The hook features a short shank and open gape, with a shape designed to make it easier for fish to inhale the worm while promoting solid hookups and reducing the likelihood of the fish ejecting it. The eye is positioned horizontally rather than vertically, helping prevent the line knot from slipping and allowing power to be transmitted more effectively during the hookset. A worm keeper also helps prevent the worm from slipping during casting and retrieves. In addition to retrieving a rigged worm through a consistent depth, it is suitable for delicate presentations with lightweight weights, making it easy to use for light-game fishing targeting horse mackerel and rockfish. Available weights are 0.4 g, 0.6 g, 0.8 g, 1.0 g, 1.25 g, 1.5 g, 1.8 g, and 2.0 g.
