Berkley Power Bait

Berkley PowerBait is a series of saltwater soft lures formulated with Berkley’s proprietary scent and flavor blended into the soft material, helping give anglers more time to set the hook after a fish takes the lure. Shapes and sizes vary by model, with a lineup designed to imitate baitfish and small crustaceans and worms, including the 1.5-inch Slider Shad, T-Tail Shad 3.7-inch, and Bubble Leech 2.5-inch.

The T-Tail Shad 3.7-inch combines a ribbed body with a T-shaped tail, designed to balance tail action and rolling action. The ribs and tail create vibrations of varying intensity to attract fish underwater. On a slow retrieve, it swims while moving its tail, and it is also designed to maintain its action without losing stability during faster retrieves. A steady retrieve at a consistent speed is the basic presentation, while increasing the retrieve speed can be effective when fish are not responding. The Slider Shad and Bubble Leech feature different sizes and body shapes, allowing anglers to choose according to the target depth and the level of attraction required. They are designed primarily for use with jig heads, combined with hooks suited to the body shape of each model.
