DUO Beach Walker Haul Head

DUO’s Beach Walker Haul Head is the core of the “Haul” system, which combines a jig head and soft plastic to deliver long casting distance, reliable hook sets, range control, and secure soft-plastic rigging in one design. Used with compatible soft plastics such as the Haul Shad, it is designed to move as an integrated unit from the head through to the tail, rather than relying on the jig head alone.

A metal plate extending rearward from inside the head passes through the compatible soft plastic to secure it in place, making it easier to rig the soft plastic straight and maintain a stable posture during casting and retrieves. Once rigged, the soft plastic produces an action in which vibration travels from the head through the entire body, not just the tail. It can be used to search the water column with a steady retrieve, as well as for stop-and-go and lift-and-fall presentations. Available weights include 14g, 21g, 27g, 31g, and 35g, allowing the head weight to be selected according to water depth, current, and how frequently the bottom is contacted. Lighter weights can be chosen for shallow water or slower currents, while heavier weights are suited to deeper ranges or stronger currents, allowing adjustment to the target range. When using the Haul Shad, pass the head’s metal plate through the liner inside the soft plastic and rig it so that the body does not bend and the tail does not become misaligned.
