DUO International’s Bay RUF series combines a chatter blade with a soft bait, blending the fish-attracting texture of a soft plastic with the vibration and water displacement generated by the blade. The BR Chatter Shad features the synergistic action of a wide-ranging shad tail and chatter blade, making it easy to search for the depth and areas where fish are holding as a search bait. It offers excellent swimming balance and works from slow retrieves to fast retrieves, allowing you to adjust the action and running depth by varying the retrieve speed. In contrast, the BR Chatter Fish uses a fish tail designed to imitate the fin movement of a fleeing baitfish, creating an action and fall that differ from those of a shad tail. The rigged models are available in 18 g and 24 g, allowing you to choose the appropriate weight for the conditions. The hooks use a flexible hook system that combines a treble hook with a freely moving single hook. This helps the hooks follow the fish’s thrashing and also accommodates double hookups. After casting, count down to the desired depth, then use a steady retrieve as the basic approach, varying the retrieve speed to match the current and depth.
