DUEL Mag Q

DUEL’s MAG® Q TUNGSTEN squid jig combines long-casting performance with controllability through its tungsten weight and magnetic weight-transfer system. During the cast, the weight moves straight to the rear of the body, reducing power loss in flight and achieving a stable flight posture. After landing, impact and line tension return the weight to the center-of-gravity position, where it locks into place. A powerful magnet prevents the weight from shifting to the rear even when the jig is worked with sharp jerks from a high fishing position. The low, near-center center of gravity produces crisp darting action.

The body is equipped with Patapata® fins that vibrate and create vibration even in slight currents. They begin attracting squid immediately after landing following a long cast and entice them in combination with the darting action produced by jerking the rod. The hooks are Trick Hooks, designed with a degree of controlled stretch to improve recovery when snagged, while the Keimura finish gives the hooks themselves added attraction. Available in sizes 3.0 and 3.5, the manufacturer states a maximum casting distance of over 60 m for the 3.0 and over 70 m for the 3.5. This model is designed for targeting distant spots, with emphasis on stable flight after casting, secure weight locking after landing, and sharp darting action when worked with jerks.
