Decoy (katsuichi) Wire Double Assist

KATSUICHI’s DECOY Wire Double Assist (WA-51) is a double-hook assist system that supports the main hook when added to swimbaits and other lures that are difficult to hook effectively in their standard configuration. A double hook equipped with bait holders is extended with wire, allowing it to be used with the hooks secured to the soft bait. It features bait holders with outward-facing barbs for easy attachment to soft baits, along with an i-Guard that serves as a stopper and can be easily installed and securely fixed to the main hook.

The wire is made of kink-resistant 3×7 nylon-coated wire and secured with a double sleeve. After a hook-up, the hooks are designed to detach from the soft bait, allowing the flexible wire to follow the fish’s movements when it thrashes and helping reduce pulled hooks. It is normally installed in tandem with the main hook, but it can also be attached to the rear eye of a jig head using a split ring. Available in M and L sizes, with hook sizes of #4 for M and #2 for L.
