KATSUICHI’s DECOY Fiber Light Single is designed as an easy-to-use, lightweight single assist hook for shore jigging. Intended for light shore jigging for bluefish from structures such as breakwaters, it is well suited to lighter metal jigs used with softer rods or seabass tackle. Its lightweight design helps preserve the action of jigs weighing 40 g or less.
Flash fiber is tied to the base single assist hook, creating an attractive shimmer that follows the movement of the jig. The fiber not only adds visual presence but is also designed to assist when fish inhale the jig. When the jig reaches the bottom, water pressure causes the hook to descend slowly, helping prevent the hook from dropping ahead of the jig and reducing the likelihood of snags. It can be rigged as a front assist hook to match the shape, length, and weight of the jig being used. Available in sizes #3, #2, #1, #1/0, and #2/0, the lineup accommodates everything from lightweight jigs to relatively large jigs.
