Decoy (katsuichi) Aji Drive

Katsuichi (DECOY) Aji Drive is a jig head designed for the instant hooksets used in aji fishing, allowing the hook to penetrate securely even with a short stroke. It combines a fine-wire original hook with an open-gape design and precisely angled-out point, making it easy to achieve solid penetration even when setting the hook with a sharp snap of the wrist. The line eye is wide, making it easy to thread the line even at night and compatible with the use of snaps.

The Body Lock Keeper helps prevent the soft bait from slipping. It securely holds not only slim soft baits but also thicker and salt-impregnated soft baits, reducing the chance of the bait coming off during repeated changes and casts. The head and hook are designed with upper-jaw hooksets in mind, which are especially important in aji fishing. For operation, it is suited to a presentation based primarily on retrieves and falls, using the wrist to set the hook with a short stroke in response to a bite rather than making a large sweeping motion. The SV-55 features a size #8 hook and is available in weights of 0.6 g, 0.9 g, 1.2 g, 1.5 g, and 1.8 g.
