Decoy (katsuichi) Flash Bomb

DECOY’s Flash Bomb SV-40 is a flasher jig that condenses the key elements that trigger bottom-feeding strikes: hang-offs, sand clouds, and flash generated by the bottom-dragging method. Designed for harbor riprap areas, tidal flats and sandy or muddy areas around river mouths, rocky areas, and weed beds, it is used by dragging it along the bottom, contacting obstacles, and pausing—the technique commonly known as a hang-off. Moving it along the bottom stirs up a cloud of sand, while its flashing action creates an alternating light-and-dark effect as it clears obstacles or is paused.

Designed primarily for black sea bream, it is also suitable for rockfish such as scorpionfish, as well as bottom-dwelling species such as flathead and flounder. The 3.5 g and 5 g models feature a #4 hook, while the 7 g model uses a #2 hook. Available weights are 3.5 g, 5 g, and 7 g. Colors include Black Tank, Red Tank, Mussel, Mantis Shrimp, Club Orange, and Green Pumpkin, allowing you to match the bottom composition and the baitfish or other prey present in the area. Please note that, according to official manufacturer information, the Flash Bomb SV-40 was discontinued in 2023.
