Decoy (katsuichi) SV-51 Delta Magic

KATSUICHI’s DECOY Delta Magic SV-51 was developed to trigger a feeding response in neutral fish through micro-wind techniques. Its basic presentation combines darting movements that create a strong presence with a fall that draws strikes, and it is designed for use with soft baits in light-game fishing.

The head features a delta shape, unlike conventional designs that move by catching water. This shape produces a sharp, cutting action and supports a presentation that combines darting movements that make the soft bait jump from side to side with the subsequent fall. The hook is equipped with a Magic Keeper to help prevent the soft bait from slipping during darting actions. This design helps keep the soft bait properly rigged and makes it easier to perform repeated actions.

The lightweight sizes of 1/20 oz and lighter are suited to delicate presentations that transition from subtle darting movements into a fall, making them ideal for targeting species such as horse mackerel and rockfish. Sizes heavier than 1/20 oz support sharper wind actions and presentations focused on reaching the bottom. They can also be used to probe areas near the bottom when targeting rockfish and small pelagic fish. Rig the soft bait straight onto the head, using dart-and-fall presentations from the surface to midwater with the lightweight sizes, and wind actions that incorporate bottom contact with the heavier sizes.
