Tackle House’s CONTACT BRITT is a diving pencil developed for saltwater plugging, primarily targeting pelagic fish, with a focus on creating a lifelike presentation. It features the proprietary mechanism known as the R-unit 2.0 revolver, in which the internal weight continuously moves from side to side, creating a rotating action centered on forward and backward movement. This produces an action unlike that of conventional plugs and provides responsive handling that reacts quickly to rod movements. The CBP120, CBP145, and CBP170 are floating models designed for topwater action at the surface. They are typically worked by using the rod to make the lure dive, interspersed with pauses that allow it to rise.

The sinking-spec CBP120SW is a sinking model equipped with plate-shaped weights positioned to optimize casting distance, fall posture, and movement during the retrieve. On the fall, it sinks slowly while maintaining a slightly nose-down posture and rolling gently. During the retrieve, it swims with a meandering action reminiscent of a weakened baitfish. The series is available in 120 mm, 145 mm, and 170 mm sizes. The CBP120SW is intended for situations where fish are holding in the midwater column, while the CBP170SW is designed for strong winds or high waves, and situations requiring greater casting distance or a stronger presence. Hooks are sold separately, with recommended sizes such as Owner ST-56 and ST-66 specified according to the model.
