DAIWA SW ASSIST HOOKs are designed around the concepts of “strong,” “light,” and “effective hooksets,” with a focus on hook-setting performance and ease of use for jigging. They feature high-strength, high-carbon steel with a relatively stiff composition, ensuring strength while avoiding excessive shank thickness. The hook point is a straight point designed for reliable penetration, and the surface is coated with tin for corrosion resistance. A welded ring is used at the connection point, while the assist cord is a core fluorocarbon type that provides an appropriate level of stiffness.

The lineup includes hooks only, as well as Single Short, Single Standard, and Twin models. Single Standard models use assist-cord lengths specified for each hook size, making it easy to maintain spacing from the jig. Twin models feature two hooks and allow you to choose either an inward-facing or outward-facing setup. Hooks-only models are convenient when you want to rig them with your preferred assist cord and length, while the ready-made Single and Twin models can be attached directly to a jig. Sizes range from 1/0 to 11/0, allowing you to choose according to the size of the jig and the fishing technique being used.
