The DAIWA Outrage XV C is a casting rod designed to make repeated lure casting and manipulation easier during offshore casting, while allowing the entire rod to bend deeply and distribute the load during the fight after a fish is hooked. While maintaining the rod action of the Outrage series, it offers the specifications and power needed to handle a wide range of fishing environments.
BRAIDING X is applied to the outermost layer of the blank’s butt section, tightening it in an X pattern with carbon tape. This helps suppress twisting that can lead to power loss during rod operation, while providing strength in a slim blank and helping reduce the feeling of weight in the hand. The blank features a taper that makes casting easy and helps reduce angler fatigue, while supporting a variety of techniques. The reel seat is a Fuji DPS model suited for use with medium- and large-sized reels and tuned for offshore casting.
The C76-2 is designed for PE line up to No. 2 and plugs up to 50 g; the C79-3 for PE line up to No. 3 and plugs up to 60 g; the C80-4 for PE line up to No. 4 and plugs up to 80 g; the C82-5 for PE line up to No. 5 and plugs up to 100 g; and the C82-6 for PE line up to No. 6 and plugs up to 130 g. All models are center-cut two-piece rods and come standard with a rod cover.
