Daiwa’s UVF PE DURA SENSOR ×12EX+Si3 is a PE line featuring a “Muscle 12Braid” construction, in which 12 strands are tightly braided to enhance strength, abrasion resistance, and ease of handling during casting. Rather than using conventional round braiding, it employs “square braiding,” which helps minimize hollow spaces within the line’s cross-section. This design helps prevent the line from flattening and reduces damage caused by abrasion and shock.

The line is made with TOUGH PE strands, which are thick, nearly perfectly round, and resistant to deformation. The fibers are condensed with UVF during the braiding process, while dense Muscle Braiding further enhances resistance to shock-induced breakage. The surface is treated with EvoSilicone3 (+Si3), an evolution of the previous +Si and +Si2 treatments, to improve smoothness, abrasion resistance, and durability. In addition, EX processing reduces surface irregularities to help increase casting distance, reduce noise caused by friction against the guides, and suppress debris adhesion and fraying.

For lure casting, the line takes advantage of its smooth surface for easy release, helping maximize long-distance casting performance while reducing contact between the line and the guides. Available in solid lime green and 5C, which alternates between five colors every 10 meters, the 5C version features markings at 1-meter and 5-meter intervals. By selecting the appropriate PE size, it can be used for a wide range of applications, from lure fishing to boat fishing.
