DAIWA’s EMERALDAS FLUORO LEADER X’LINK is a fluorocarbon leader designed with an emphasis on suppleness that is less likely to interfere with the natural fall and action of an egi, as well as knot strength to handle the load during hooksets and fights. Its moderate stiffness helps reduce tangling with the egi during the fall and makes it easier to maintain its posture underwater, while also providing high sensitivity to transmit subtle touches through the line.

The material and manufacturing process incorporate TOUGH RESIN, a proprietary tough resin material; X’LINK, which forms a cross-linked structure between molecules; and NANO CONTROL, a process that homogenizes the molecules at the nanoscale. These technologies deliver resilience and strength along with suppleness, pursuing high performance in situations where stress is applied to the knots. The line features a DPLS parallel-winding design, which helps reduce crushing caused by lines crossing over one another during retrieval and helps prevent performance loss.

For eging, it is tied between the main line and egi, using its moderate stiffness and suppleness to support everything from the fall, stay, and jerking actions through to the hookset. The spools can be connected to one another, making it easy to store multiple sizes together. Seven models are available from No. 1.5 to No. 3, with each size identifiable by a differently colored spool band.
