DAIWA’s SALTIGA LEAF R is a metal jig designed for high-speed jerking, inheriting the lineage of the SACRIFICE LEAF while pursuing low retrieve resistance and a quick response to rod movement. It is intended to replicate the movement of fleeing baitfish by combining high-speed reeling with sharp jerking actions.

The body features a slim, asymmetrical design that reduces retrieve resistance. While jigs with low retrieve resistance can tend to produce slower action, the SALTIGA LEAF R is designed to move quickly with minimal input. After each jerk, its asymmetrical body delivers a quick response that creates a pause to trigger strikes. The edge width varies according to the jig’s weight, with multiple weights available, including 140 g and 160 g. It is suited to a presentation centered on high-speed reeling, with rod jerks added to impart action. This jig is designed for fast-paced jigging when fish are marked on the fish finder but show little feeding interest, as well as situations focused on highly mobile baitfish.
