DAIWA’s EMERALDAS AIR BOAT is a rod series designed for boat eging, primarily tip-run fishing, with an emphasis on lightweight handling and high sensitivity. Built around the AIR series concept of weight reduction, it combines a slim SVF Nano Plus blank with X45 technology to suppress twisting, achieving both lightness and a crisp operating feel. During jerks, the entire blank bends and uses its rebound power to quickly lift the egi, producing a dynamic action.

The guides use lightweight, highly sensitive AGS, while the tip is equipped with either a Megatop or tubular tip, depending on the model. The Megatop features a sensitive tip designed not only to transmit bites and changes to the angler’s hand, but also to make movement easier to detect visually. V-JOINTα is used at the joint of the center-cut two-piece construction, producing a natural bend with minimal interruption at the connection. The Air Sensor Seat is lightweight and easy to grip, with a down-lock design that allows easy contact with the blank.

The 511LS-S is a short-length light spinning model focused on technical performance within the series, handling fast-paced jerks by taking advantage of its maneuverability. Its supple L-class blank makes delicate presentations easier during the early season, with medium- and small-sized egi, and in shallow areas. It is also designed to make changes in current conditions and water pressure acting on the egi easier to detect through the handle. The lineup also includes an MLS-class model for anglers seeking a stronger operating feel, regular-length LS and MLS-class models, as well as interline and baitcasting models.
