DAIWA’s SHORELINE SHINER Z is a saltwater minnow designed to combine long-casting performance with a stable swimming action, allowing anglers to cover a wide area from shore. The Vertice R features the Maglock System, which shifts the weight toward the rear during the cast and secures it at the front with a magnet after splashdown. The shaft in the weight oscillation section uses SACUS processing and a half spring to promote quick action startup, stable movement in current, and maintenance of the proper swimming posture during drifts and pauses. Its basic action is a tight wobble and roll, while the 98S is a slow-sinking model designed to run at approximately 0.5–1.0 m.

The Set Upper series features a streamlined body shape that reduces air resistance and long-casting performance achieved with the “Buttobi Silent Weight Oscillate System PLUS.” These high-appeal sinking minnows swim with a horizontal posture and can be used to cover a wide area with a steady retrieve. Effective range, buoyancy setting, action, and standard hooks vary depending on the size and type, with models ranging from those designed to probe shallow water to models such as the S-DR that dive to a maximum depth of approximately 1.5–2 m. Models including the Vertice R 98S, Set Upper 75S, and 97S-DR can be selected according to the water depth and current conditions of the field, as well as bait size.
