DAIWA’s EMERALDAS EX BOAT is a flagship model that combines the light weight, sensitivity, rigidity, and operability required for boat eging at an exceptionally high level. Built around ESS blank design, it features lightweight, highly sensitive, and highly rigid AGS guides, an SMT (Super Metal Top) tip made from a superelastic titanium alloy, SVF Nanoplus, and X45 Full Shield. Despite its center-cut two-piece construction, the V-Joint α helps minimize any unnatural feel at the ferrule and creates a structure that allows the blank to form a smooth bending curve. The outguide models combine AGS and SMT, while the interline models feature Hyper Dry, with each configuration providing a different mechanism to support comfortable eging.

The 70MLS-SMT / 68LS-SMT・W features a double-tip configuration that allows anglers to choose between two SMT tips. The 70ML side makes it easier to work heavier egi in deep areas and is also suitable for casting in shallow water during early spring. The 68L side is suited to allowing lighter egi to drift in areas with a gentle current and detecting subtle bites. By changing the tip according to the egi weight, water depth, and current strength, anglers can achieve precise control in a wide range of conditions.
