Daiwa’s KOHGA AIR is a high-standard rod designed with an emphasis on light weight and sensitivity, enhancing control and angler-fish interaction when tai-rubber fishing. The lineup includes models for everything from inland sea areas to offshore waters, as well as models intended for targeting large red sea bream, allowing anglers to choose according to their fishing style and field conditions.

In addition to a guide setting that includes lightweight, highly sensitive AGS guides, the blanks use HVF Nanoplus to combine light weight with power, and X45 to suppress twisting and support handling and power. TG models feature a Thrill Game construction, which wraps the outer circumference of a Mega Top carbon solid tip in carbon. This gives the slim blank a supple, deeply bending action with excellent resilience. Designed specifically for tai-rubber fishing, the ZERO_SEAT reel seat is shaped for a secure grip and comfortable use over extended periods.

The lineup is also characterized by models with distinct actions for specific applications, including the N for a hook-setting action, T for a technical action, C for casting, J for tai-jigging, and D for electric tai-rubber fishing. Among them, the D68HB TG・E is designed for deep-water areas, drift fishing with the boat moving sideways, and use in strong winds when electric tai-rubber fishing. Combining the power of a full-solid blank with a taper designed for electric tai-rubber fishing, it accommodates situations requiring heavy tai-rubber rigs, as well as stable retrieves with electric reels and medium-sized baitcasting reels.
