Daiwa Kohga Silicone Necktie

Daiwa’s KOHGA Silicone Necktie is a replacement silicone necktie developed to help anglers assemble their Tai Rubber units according to the conditions for more reliable hooksets and landings. It is available in a wide range of colors for creating KOHGA units, with the lineup including the basic STR (Straight), the more attention-grabbing STC (Straight Curly), and the slim Nakai Tune STR Slim and STC Slim models.

STR features an orthodox shape that is easy to set up and is made from silicone with a moderate amount of stiffness and resilience. STC combines straight and curly sections, creating an appealing action in which the curly sections undulate mainly around the straight section while reducing tangles compared with a double-curly design. Nakai Tune is a slim model designed for tough-bite conditions, based on its proven performance in Kada, Wakayama Prefecture, a highly competitive Tai Rubber fishing area. When replacing the necktie, thread its tip through the silicone tube, then combine it with a cut skirt and connecting part to create the unit. Attach it to the connecting part with the hooks pre-set, tie it to the leader, and fish it. Some colors are also available with UV-reactive glow.
