Daiwa TG Bait

DAIWA TG BAIT is a high-density tungsten compact casting jig developed to meet the demand for “a heavier jig with a smaller silhouette.” Designed for situations where baitfish are small and standard-sized metal jigs are too large, while smaller jigs are difficult to cast far enough to reach the target area, it uses tungsten with approximately 1.7 times the density of lead to provide weight in a compact body.

Based on a realistic sardine-inspired shape, it features an asymmetrical design that allows the high-density body to produce action. During the retrieve, it displays a swimming action, while on the fall, it slides in a nearly horizontal posture to imitate a weakened baitfish. The 100g model measures 87mm, the 120g model 92mm, and the 150g model 99mm in length, with body size varying according to weight. All three models—100g, 120g, and 150g—are made of tungsten and do not come with standard hooks.

The basic presentation consists of retrieving and allowing the jig to fall after casting, with the retrieve technique adjustable according to bait size and fish response. Despite maintaining a small silhouette, it provides sufficient weight for applications where long-distance casting is important. Hooks must be prepared separately, allowing you to choose the setup according to your fishing method and target species.
