Smith Aji Ace

SMITH’s AJIACE is a straight-profile soft lure designed to make it easy to adapt to changes in jighead weight, fishing platform height, tidal current, wind, and other conditions, while helping anglers clearly understand how the lure is being manipulated. Based on a shape that is central to ajing, it is engineered to respond to subtle movements and tidal currents and to be easily inhaled by horse mackerel. It is available starting in a versatile 1.9-inch size suitable for use across Japan.

In addition to ribs covering the entire body, it features stabilizer parts that help it grab the water. This structure helps reduce the sensation of the lure slipping excessively underwater in windy conditions or when fishing from a high platform. A pronounced constriction at the rear of the main body allows it to flex responsively to vertical movement and subtle tidal currents, while the slim, ribbed tail produces a fine, quivering action. The flat body catches water resistance during the fall, creating a slightly spiraling action while slowing the fall speed. Even with a heavier jighead, it is easy to maintain the desired depth, allowing anglers to adjust the depth and feel by changing jighead weight. It also responds to tidal currents while stationary and contains a shrimp formula.
