SMITH’s CB.MURAMASA 3S・TS is a special model designed for tuna jigging, inheriting the “Spiral Slide Long Stay” concept of the CB.MURAMASA 3S while emphasizing reduced retrieve resistance. The three-dimensional dome eye has been replaced with a sealed eye, and the facial sculpting and gills have been omitted to reduce resistance underwater. The line eye features a rounded shape to minimize input loss. These specifications help reduce the angler’s operating effort and load on the reel, and the jig is also intended for use with electric jigging.

Its center-balanced, asymmetrical, single-sided full-flat design allows the jig to dart laterally while spiraling during its initial movement when slack is created in the line after a jerk, then slide in a sideways position. It subsequently maintains a horizontal posture for an extended period, tracing the targeted water layer while minimizing vertical movement during jerk-and-fall retrieves. This design allows anglers to work the same layer for longer periods, even during slack tide or when fish activity is low. When targeting albacore tuna, the basic technique is to release line tension during the fall after a jerk to produce a sideways slide and long stay. Available in 350 g, 400 g, and 500 g sizes, all in a hookless configuration.
